As expected, the Italian specialist Francesco Faroli has been appointed as the head coach of the "Dragons" team. The 36-year-old coach signed a contract with the famous Portuguese club for two seasons, meaning he will manage the team until the middle of 2027.

During his previous career, Francesco Faroli worked at Amsterdam's "Ajax" club. He parted ways with this club at the end of the 2024/2025 season, as the season ended unsuccessfully.

Last season, "Porto" finished third in the Portuguese championship and advanced to the group stage of the Europa League. At the same time, the name of Lisbon's "Sporting" team was noted as the country champion.
