Former capital "Spartak" player Dmitriy Parfenov commented on the disqualification of the Moscow "Torpedo" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The team has been expelled from the Russian Premier League (RPL) and fined for attempting to bribe referees. According to Parfenov, the "Torpedo" players are not guilty.
Others should take responsibility for this matter. Punishing the players is wrong, as he is neither a judge nor a prosecutor.
“As far as I know, the players are not guilty in this situation. I don’t know who should be punished,” said Parfenov.
Instead of "Torpedo," the "Orenburg" team will participate in the RPL. Last year, they finished second to last in the Russian championship, taking 15th place.
Now "Orenburg" will have the opportunity to participate in the PARI league competitions. These changes are of significant importance in Russian football league.
