Football expert Aleksandr Grigoryan shared his thoughts on the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Jerson to St. Petersburg's Zenit club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The 28-year-old player signed a five-year labor contract with the "blue-white-light blue" team. In an interview with the "Match TV" channel, the expert referred to Jerson's position on the field as a "free artist."
Although he was registered as a right-wing midfielder in the world club championship, he emphasized that he played wherever he wanted. Jerson's transfer fee, whose previous team was Brazil's Flamengo, amounted to 25 million euros.
In the 2025 world championship among clubs, he played in three matches and scored one goal. Thus, Jerson's arrival at Zenit is seen as a significant reinforcement for the club, and his freedom on the field is expected to bring new opportunities to the team's gameplay.
