Yuriy Nagornyx, the chairman of the management board of the "Lokomotiv" team, expressed his opinion on Valery Karpin's simultaneous activities with the Russian national team and the "Dinamo" club in the capital. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, such a situation is not correct and may create unequal conditions for the clubs. The national teams' institution must be independent and fair, Nagornyx said to the "Sport-Ekspress" publication.
It should be noted that on June 13, the Moscow "Dinamo" club announced Karpin's appointment as head coach. The parties signed a three-year labor contract.
The 56-year-old specialist has been managing the Russian national team since the summer of 2021. This decision is being closely monitored by the sports community, and it is emphasized that it may affect cooperation and competition between the two teams in the future.
Additionally, experts state that such a situation should serve to maintain the principles of fairness and equality in the sports field. This will help strengthen the relationships between the teams and the national team.
