Karpin: The team did not play at all in attack
The head coach of the "Dinamo" team in Moscow, Valery Karpin, gave an interview to "Match TV" after the game against "Baltika". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He noted that the start of the new season was not perfect. He mainly talked about the failure of the game plans in the attacking line.
The prepared tactics did not work, and there was no effectiveness in attack. Karpin mentioned that the team did not apply initial pressure and conceded a goal due to unnecessary mistakes.
Instead of criticizing any individual player, he emphasized that the entire team's performance was poor. He stated that no one played well in the first half, and the overall result was unsatisfactory.
Karpin noted that due to many mistakes in the attacking line, the game did not develop, and many balls were lost. There were no major problems in territorial defense, only some individual errors were observed.
No serious tasks were set for the team's defense. The coach acknowledged that the "Baltika" team was well-prepared but stated that he would explain to the players the specific tactics for organizing the attack himself.
He also mentioned that the fact that forward Ivan Sergeyev was hardly noticeable in the first half was related to the team's overall problems. Valery Karpin stated that he cannot give a clear answer yet about whether Karaskal will stay or leave the team.
