Will the summer vacation in schools be shortened?
Reports have circulated on social media about a proposal to shorten the 3-month summer vacation for students in Uzbekistan to 1.5 months.

Xalqtaliminfo.uz contacted the Ministry of Preschool and School Education to investigate how valid these reports are.

The ministry stated that currently there are no plans to shorten the summer vacation in schools, and the reports on social media have no basis.

For your information:
According to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision No. 140 from 2017, the vacation days for students are set as follows:
Autumn vacation – 6 days starting from November 4;
Winter vacation – 14 days starting from December 28;
Spring vacation – 7 days starting from March 21;
Summer vacation – from the day of the last control exam until September 1.

An additional week of vacation will be designated in February for first-grade students.
