In 2026, youth will be taught vocational skills
The year 2026 has been declared the year of teaching vocational skills and modern qualifications to youth in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This initiative was announced on September 15 during a meeting between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and teachers and mentors in the Bostanliq district of Tashkent region. The head of state emphasized that young people should acquire not only theoretical knowledge but also practical professional skills, as well as master foreign languages.

According to information, investments amounting to 30-35 billion dollars annually will be attracted to the country's economy, thousands of new enterprises will be established and start operating. As a result, it is planned to create 250-300 thousand high-income jobs each year.

To enable youth to effectively utilize these opportunities, a Vocational Education Agency will be established and international standards will be introduced in 598 technical colleges. Within the next year, modern educational programs from advanced countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Korea, China, and the United Kingdom will be implemented in 100 technical colleges.

Students will have the opportunity to take international qualification exams at technical colleges and obtain certificates. Currently, the "BITEK" program is operating in 14 technical colleges in cooperation with the British company "Pearson".

According to the President, dual education coverage will be expanded fivefold, foreign language lesson hours in technical colleges will be increased fourfold, and preferential loans of up to five billion soms will be allocated for partner enterprises. Additionally, from 2026, a digital platform containing information about technical college graduates will be launched.

These measures will significantly enhance the professional training and labor market readiness of youth, creating a solid foundation for their future activities. Thus, 2026 will go down in history as a year of new opportunities for youth.

Each graduate will acquire modern knowledge and professional skills according to their abilities and desires, which will contribute to the development of the country's economy and increase the efficiency of youth activities. Source: zamin.uz
