A teenager in Pakistan shot his family dead, court verdict announced
A 17-year-old teenager in Pakistan shot his family dead. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Zayn Ali, a teenager living in Lahore, shot and killed his mother, brother, and two sisters with a gun. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment for this crime.

The verdict was announced on September 24, 2025, at the Lahore court. Judge Riyaz Ahmad Ali sentenced him to 25 years in prison for each murder, totaling 100 years, but considering Ali's age, the death penalty was not imposed.

The judge emphasized that one of the reasons for the teenager's crime was his excessive addiction to the online game PUBG and his deteriorating mental state. Under the influence of the game, he was unable to properly assess the situation.

The tragedy occurred in 2021 when Ali was 14 years old. He lived in the Kahna district of Lahore and was known among locals as a teenager addicted to gaming.

His relatives often criticized him for locking himself in his room and being preoccupied with the game. According to police reports, Ali became nervous and aggressive when he was unable to complete tasks.

On the night of the crime, after failing to complete a mission in the game and being scolded by his mother, he took a pistol and entered the room where his mother and sisters were sleeping and opened fire. As a result, his mother, brother Taymur, and sisters Makhnur and Jannat died at the scene.

This incident caused a great uproar in the country and sparked serious discussions about the negative impact of internet games on the mental health of young people. The court decision noted that the main factor in Ali's crime was his addiction to gaming.

Law enforcement agencies emphasized the necessity for parents to closely monitor their children's virtual world.
