Drone attack in Kharkiv: New strike from the Russian army
On May 2, Friday, the city of Kharkiv, located in northeastern Ukraine, was once again subjected to an aerial attack by the Russian Armed Forces. This was announced by the city mayor Igor Terekhov on his Telegram page.

Severe explosions and fires

According to him, the attack covered four main districts of the city — Kyiv, Osnovyanskiy, Slobodskiy, and Saltovskiy. Unmanned aerial vehicles sent by Russia struck 12 different targets.

Several powerful explosions occurred in the city, followed by fires. Rescuers worked to extinguish the fire at several locations.

The number of casualties is increasing

According to official information, as a result of the attack, 46 people sustained injuries of varying degrees. Among them is an 11-year-old child. Currently, 8 injured citizens have been hospitalized.

The city mayor stated that during the attack, one residential building and one private house were significantly damaged. The extent of the damage is being fully assessed.

“Be careful! Drones are approaching Kharkiv again!” Terekhov wrote.

The threat in the air is not over

According to information released by the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian Federation carried out the attack from Belgorod region. Several groups of drones were recorded flying towards Kharkiv region.

Additionally, another group of unmanned aerial vehicles moved from the south — along the Zaporizhzhia direction. Ukrainian military officials have stated that they are continuously monitoring the aerial threat.

In recent months, the city of Kharkiv has become one of the main targets of Russian drone attacks. This latest strike has once again had a significant impact on the peaceful lives of civilians.

What measures do you think can be taken to ensure Ukraine's security in such a dangerous situation?
