Emma Amit, a 51-year-old food blogger, died within two days after consuming a poisonous crab. This was reported by the "New York Post".
It was revealed that the blogger, along with friends, gathered seafood near the city of Puerto Princesa on Palawan Island, tasted them, and recorded videos. She consumed crab, sea cucumber cooked in coconut milk, and other sea creatures.
However, the next day the woman began to feel unwell. The effects of the toxic substances intensified, and she was taken to the hospital.
Along the way, symptoms of convulsions were observed, and her lips turned bluish. Despite all efforts by the doctors, it was impossible to save her.
She died two days after consuming the poisonous crab. Following the incident, the local village leader, Laddi Gemang, sent representatives to the deceased's home for an investigation.
Brightly colored crab shells were found among the waste there. According to experts, this type of crab may contain strong toxins — saxitoxin and tetrodotoxin.
These substances pose a threat to human life and can cause death in a short time. Local officials once again urged the public to be cautious.
It was emphasized that consuming unknown or poisonous sea creatures is extremely dangerous for life. Especially, engaging in risky experiments for the sake of content creation can lead to irreversible consequences.
