The mountain range in Guichjou has become a giant solar power station

A mountain range covered with thousands of solar panels has been discovered in Guichjou province of China. This area has now turned into a giant solar power station, according to 4PDA.

Drones videos circulating on the internet show endless rows of solar panels lying on the mountains, blending with the horizon to create a futuristic landscape.

Guichjou has a complex terrain and a variable climate. While this situation has previously limited agriculture, it has now become a suitable area for clean energy. The first solar stations here were built less than 10 years ago.

By the end of 2024, China accounted for 64 percent of all solar and wind power projects in the world. Currently, a total of 339 gigawatts of power stations are being constructed in the country. For comparison: in the USA, Brazil, the UK, and Spain, this figure is 72 gigawatts.
