The US has delivered major airstrikes on Iran's strategic objectives

The military and political situation in the Yaqin Sharq region has reached its peak of tension. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The United States Central Command officially confirmed that large-scale airstrikes were carried out against a number of strategic objects on Iranian territory. The fact that the order to conduct this military operation was given personally by US President Donald Trump indicates how serious the situation is.
In response, Iran’s armed forces launched missile strikes on US military bases in the region. Currently, details of this dangerous confrontation are in the focus of attention of the world community.
Although the US military is keeping the exact targets of the operation secret, it stated that the main goal is to completely weaken Iran’s military capability in the Strait of Hormuz. According to Central Command data, more than 80 important targets in Iran have been destroyed in a short time.
Among the destroyed objects are air defense systems, command and communication networks, coastal radar stations, and anti-ship missile complexes. Additionally, more than 60 fast military boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have been taken out of action.
The Washington administration considers these actions a lawful response to attacks on international trade ships and oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, the US government has decided to reimpose sanctions on Iranian oil, which were recently canceled.
In turn, Tehran officials blamed the US for violating international agreements and declared their determination to defend their sovereignty to the end. Soon after, the states of Kuwait and Bahrain confirmed that ballistic missiles launched by Iran had struck US military bases on their territories.
US President Donald Trump, speaking with journalists during the NATO summit, emphasized that the agreement with Iran on easing tensions has lost its force. He called negotiations with Iranian officials a waste of time and firmly stated that he has no intention of dealing with them.
Nevertheless, the president noted that if specialists deem it absolutely necessary, he leaves the door open for negotiations. Currently, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, which remains the main route for global oil exports, is tense and may worsen.
Since Iran refuses to allow Western countries to clear the strait of mines, the movement of merchant ships and tankers remains under great threat. This situation could pose a serious threat to the world economy and energy security.
World politicians are expressing concern that the situation may further escalate and turn into a large-scale war.
