Samsung to launch first filter data centers in 2028
Samsung plans to launch its first underwater data centers starting in the second quarter of 2028, according to Zamin.uz.

Through this innovative project, the company aims to initiate a new phase in the field of data storage and processing. This technological breakthrough has attracted significant interest in the tech world, as it is expected to fundamentally change traditional infrastructure concepts.

According to the latest information, Samsung Heavy Industries is actively working on several promising projects. The company will soon begin accepting initial orders for the deployment of these unique underwater facilities.

To ensure the project is implemented to a high standard and in compliance with international norms, agreements have been reached with several major partners. In particular, a memorandum of understanding has been signed with a leading shipbuilding company in Greece and an influential classification society in the United Kingdom.

Under this partnership, Samsung will be responsible for developing the core technological platform. Greek partners will focus on attracting investors and managing project execution.

The British side will assist in aligning technical requirements and maintaining communication with international regulatory bodies. Additionally, a contract has been signed with experienced specialists from the United States for the development of industrial-scale underwater centers.

Currently, the global market is observing a growing scarcity and rising cost of land suitable for construction. As a result, underwater data centers may become a more cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional land-based facilities in the future.

Such initiatives not only save space but also create favorable conditions for cooling systems. Samsung’s bold step is expected to open a new era in the development of the digital economy and advanced technologies.
