Spartak refused to transfer Emerson Royal

"Spartak" team could have added defender Emerson Royal to their squad during the summer transfer period. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Intermediaries offered the 26-year-old Brazilian player to the "red-white" team. The sports director of the Moscow club, Francis Kahigao, considered the possibility of acquiring Emerson on loan for free, with a potential purchase condition of around 10 million euros later on.

There was also a possibility to reduce this amount. However, Francis Kahigao rejected Emerson in favor of others.

This was reported by the Metaratings publication on their pages. Emerson Royal played in 26 matches for the "Milan" team last season, but did not stand out with effective actions.

He is capable of playing not only as a right-back but also in central defense. Thus, the "Spartak" team preferred other options during the summer transfer process and did not add Emerson to their squad.
