Smolov spoke for the first time about the conflict

Footballer Fyodor Smolov made a video address on social media. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He explained that on May 28, there was a disagreement with several people at "Kofemaniya." A man received a painful blow to the face from Smolov.

First of all, I apologize in front of the witnesses of my inappropriate behavior that day. In a cultured society, one should not fight or raise hands.

My intention was only to resolve the issue peacefully, but unfortunately, I encountered insults and rude words. My attempt to resolve the conflict peacefully is also shown in the video.

Initially, I aimed to communicate directly with the victim and compensate for the harm caused. However, unknown individuals, who are not visible in the video, intervened, threatened me, demanded money, and made illegal proposals.

I emphasize that I wanted to negotiate with the victim and act within the law. Therefore, I decided to contact the police.

Smolov also expressed gratitude to all the people who supported him. He thanked his wife Karina, who supported him but criticized his behavior.

Smolov took full responsibility for the events that occurred.
