In Uzbekistan, monthly bonuses based on work efficiency have been introduced for school principals, their deputies, and teachers. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Cabinet of Ministers announced this. According to the new system, the activities of heads of educational institutions and educators are evaluated based on KPIs, or key performance indicators.
Based on these indicators, bonuses are paid monthly. For principals scoring between 61 and 70 points, a 3 percent bonus is set; between 71 and 80 points, 10 percent; between 81 and 90 points, 15 percent; and between 91 and 100 points, 20 percent.
For deputy principals, these indicators range from 2.5 percent to 10 percent. The right to receive a bonus is granted to those who have worked in a leadership position at the school for at least nine months.
Evaluation criteria include students' knowledge levels, achievements in subject Olympiads, creative activity, and the effectiveness of educational work. Additionally, leaders of “Zakovat” clubs receive a one-time bonus amounting to 50 percent of their monthly salary.
Physical education teachers receive incentives of up to 20 percent based on their work efficiency. Officials emphasize that the new system serves to fairly assess teachers' work, improve their professional skills, and enhance the quality of education (source: vazirlar.uz).
