BioParque animals were given icy food during the heatwave

At the BioParque zoo located in Rio de Janeiro, special care was provided to animals during anomalous hot weather conditions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This measure was implemented to protect the animals from the scorching heat and to maintain their health. In particular, animals were given frozen foods prepared according to their species.
According to Associated Press, zoo staff prepared special "cooling" meals taking into account each animal's feeding habits.
For example, watermelon ice cream was prepared for monkeys, while a mixture of frozen chicken meat was served floating in the pool for the jaguar. According to biologist Leticia Feitos, this method not only cools the animals but also helps prevent their dehydration.
Because predators also swallow the melted water from the ice while eating this food. Visitors to the zoo watched the animals' unusual feeding method with great interest.
One of the visitors, teacher Lorena Carvalho, highly appreciated this idea, stating, "This measure not only creates comfort for the animals but also helps them stay healthy."
