Ukraine's defense: What steps are Europe and Britain taking?

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that there is an agreement among European and allied countries regarding ensuring Ukraine's security. 30 countries have expressed their readiness to participate in this process.
“I spoke with our European and allied partners, and they are ready for security guarantees,” said Macron.
Great Britain may send troops to Ukraine
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also emphasized his country's commitment to ensuring Ukraine's security. According to him, Britain is prepared to deploy troops if necessary and to send Typhoon fighter jets to patrol Ukrainian airspace after the war.
“Ukraine's security helps ensure the safety of our continent and our country,” said Starmer.
Why are security guarantees for Ukraine important?
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need for security guarantees to instill full confidence in the international community's agreements to end the war.
“Uncertainty is not beneficial for anyone. If Russia attacks again, everyone loses,” said Zelensky.
In his view, Ukraine needs long-term security guarantees; otherwise, the risk of renewed Russian aggression remains.
France and Britain are ready to take serious steps to provide security guarantees to Ukraine. Ukraine, on the other hand, emphasizes that it will be difficult to ensure its future security without such guarantees. The cooperation of the United States and European countries is crucial in this process.
