The reason for Lokomotiv Moscow football club striker Vadim Rakov being loaned to the Wings team in Samara has been revealed. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the club management, the player has developed a gambling addiction and has spent most of his money on betting games. Although his salary at Lokomotiv was one million rubles, this amount was not sufficient for him.
As a result, he borrowed money from various places, took out loans, and also asked his teammates for money. Once this situation became known to the management, Lokomotiv decided to loan the player to the Wings team for educational purposes.
This was reported by the Shot news channel. For reference, after the first three rounds of the 2025/2026 season, Vadim Rakov has scored four goals and is among the top scorers in the Russian Premier League.
Club representatives emphasize that they are closely monitoring the player's future activities and his situation. Thus, the Lokomotiv management considers this decision to be correct in order to help the player and get him out of the problematic situation.
