A woman working in delivery service in Spain was dismissed for arriving at work much earlier than the scheduled time. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This situation was considered by the employers as a violation of labor discipline. The incident was reported by Oddity Central.
According to the contract, the woman's workday was supposed to start at 7:30 AM. However, she regularly arrived at the workplace between 6:45 and 7:00 AM, starting her shift before her colleagues.
The management regarded this habit as a disruption to the work process and noted that it could cause conflicts within the team. For this reason, the employee was warned several times.
The first warning was given in 2023, but the woman ignored these warnings and continued to arrive early. As a result, the management decided to dismiss the employee for "serious misconduct."
In their opinion, violating the established rules negatively affected the work process and reduced the company's efficiency. The woman disagreed with this decision, protested her dismissal, and appealed to the Alicante social court.
The court supported the employer's decision. The court's official statement emphasized that the employee's actions damaged the trust relationship between the company and the employee.
Moreover, despite the warnings, the failure to comply with the rules was considered a serious violation by the court. Therefore, the court found the dismissal decision lawful.
