
According to official data from the National Statistics Committee, more than 18.6 thousand Uzbek citizens traveled to the Republic of Korea for tourism and other purposes from January to July 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This figure has increased by 51.8 percent, or 6.4 thousand people, compared to the same period last year. These numbers indicate a growing interest among the country's citizens in traveling to Korea.
By purpose of travel, 12,836 people went for tourism, 3,734 to visit relatives, 1,789 for studying, 224 for business-related trips, and 33 citizens traveled for medical treatment. These data show a strengthening trend in traveling abroad, particularly to Korea.
At the same time, such developments positively impact the cultural and economic relations between the two countries. The number of travelers to Korea is expected to increase further in the future.
