Why did Subaru become the leader?
In recent years, Subaru has focused significantly on improving reliability. In particular, the Forester and Impreza models recorded high results in the overall ranking. Additionally, the Crosstrek, Legacy, Outback, and Ascent models also stood out for their high reliability.
Steven Elek, a representative of the Consumer Reports analytical team, states:
"Subaru has a clear strategy to ensure reliability in its vehicles. The company implements changes gradually in the production of new models and maintains robust systems. This reduces the risk of new technical issues."
Did Toyota and Lexus lose their dominance?
Although Toyota and Lexus have maintained their positions in this ranking, Subaru's rise has diminished their leadership status. Nevertheless, Toyota (62 points) and Lexus (65 points) still remain among the most reliable car manufacturers.
Why are Chevrolet, Tesla, and Rivian ranked low?
Chevrolet (37 points), Tesla (36 points), and Rivian (14 points) occupy the lowest positions in the ranking. The production issues, technical malfunctions, and unreliable components observed in these brands' vehicles contributed to their low scores.
For buyers planning to purchase a reliable car in 2025, this ranking serves as an important guide.
